A large horizontal field formed from smaller, adjacent rectangles, with seams of white wall visible where they adjoin. Most are a varied, smoky gray, but at upper left one is lavender drizzled with gray and two are cyan. Just right of center emerges the shadowy figure of a dark-haired, dark-suited person with their back to us, lifting their right arm like they are writing on a chalkboard. The faint geometrical shapes of a miniaturized triangle ruler and spirit level float throughout, as if beneath the surface.
